🌿 My Healing Journey

Updated: May 26

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about helping people and fascinated by health, nutrition, and the human body. But despite this deep interest in wellness, I spent years struggling with my own health—facing chronic pain, endless frustration, and countless medical treatments that only offered temporary relief.

Then in 2008, everything changed. A car accident intensified my symptoms, and I fell into a cycle of trial and error that left me exhausted, unmotivated, and eventually, depressed. The only diagnosis I received was Fibromyalgia. One surgeon even told me I’d end up in a wheelchair.

That became my turning point.

I made a choice—to take my health into my own hands. I joined a local run club with a friend. What started as movement for my body soon became medicine for my soul. Through running, I discovered the powerful connection between physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I began eating to nourish my body, completed races I never thought possible, and slowly but surely, the pain, fatigue, and depression lifted.

I didn’t know it then, but this was the beginning of my calling.

As I encouraged new runners, I recognized something in their stories that mirrored my own. Helping them sparked a memory from my childhood: I’d always wanted to heal—but not in the traditional, clinical sense. I wanted to help people rediscover wholeness by looking at the full picture: the mind, the body, the spirit, and the energy that connects it all. I had no idea how I’d get there… but I knew I couldn’t stay in the life I’d built for 30+ years. It was time for something radically different.

So, I took a leap. I left behind a long-standing career that never felt aligned with my soul. What followed were eight months of uncertainty, guilt, and fear. Then, a friend invited me to take a Reiki course. I didn’t even remember being interested in Reiki—but something in me said yes.

That single “yes” changed my life.

During my first Reiki Attunement, I had an experience I can only describe as an awakening. One of my instructors later called it astral travel. I found myself on a quiet beach cove, standing beside my paternal grandmother—someone I shared a powerful bond with. Though no words were spoken, she gently handed me a conch shell and instructed me to “just listen.” Later, we walked to a clearing where an elderly native woman placed a small birch bark box in my hands, tied with foxtail grass. As she closed my palms over the box, I felt her silent message:“The gift is in your hands.”

I gasped aloud. I knew. This was my path.

From that moment forward, I dedicated myself to the healing arts. I poured my energy into studying Reiki, eventually reaching Master level. I also began training in Advanced Reflexology—and everything clicked. The universe was speaking, and I was finally listening.

When my family moved to support my husband’s career, it felt like yet another alignment. I created my own healing space, connected with like minded people, and began working with clients. I was moved by how profoundly Reiki and Reflexology impacted them—how they would awaken from sessions with peaceful faces, released emotions, or old memories rising to the surface. The body, I learned, speaks when it feels safe.

But I wanted to offer even more. I kept noticing a pattern: stress was at the core of so many imbalances. I needed a deeper tool to help the nervous system regulate and heal.

That’s when I discovered Spinal Flow Technique by Dr. Carli Axford. From the moment I read about it, I felt that familiar inner knowing. Despite financial limitations, I made it happen—I flew to Mexico for immersive training, entirely on my own. It was one of the most liberating, transformative decisions of my life.

Today, I understand health in a way I never could before. It’s not just the absence of pain—it's a harmonious balance of mind, body, and spirit.

And now, I have the immense privilege of helping others find that balance too.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you’re right.”– Henry Ford

That quote sits at the heart of my journey—a reminder that healing starts with belief. My work is not just what I do. It’s who I am .And this journey is only just beginning.
